Fun Airplane Games

There are a number of different types of airplane games, including combat airplane games and more straight-laced flight simulation games. They may be played on a PC computer on various consoles, such as the PlayStation 3. In a combat airplane game, the player often controls a virtual aircraft, such as a military aircraft, and fires bullets or missiles from the aircraft. Simulation flight games aren't violent: the player will control a virtual airplane in a simulated setting, purely to enjoy the experience of the controlling the flight itself.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon
- "Ace Combat: Assault Horizon" is available to play on multiple gaming consoles, including the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. "Ace Combat: Assault Horizon" is a violent war drama that takes place in a number of virtual locations that have been modeled to resemble real-world locations. Players participate in combat by controlling virtual military aircrafts that shoot bullets and missiles at enemies. "Ace Combat: Assault Horizon" involves dogfighting with other aircrafts and attacking ground-based targets, including enemy vehicles.
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
- In "Squadrons of WWII," players control virtual World War II aircrafts, such as the British Spitfire and the Japanese Zero. "Squadrons of WWII" is set in various locations, such as Germany, London and the Pacific islands. The game is available to play on the Wii, the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC. "Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII" involves dogfighting with other aircrafts and attacking ground-based targets, such as enemy ships.
Lethal Skies II
- "Lethal Skies II" is a PlayStation 2 video game that may be played by one or two players. The storyline involves a global war that has resulted from the division of an alliance which formed during a previous war. Both the land and the skies have become dangerous. Aircrafts are modeled after modern designs, such as fighter planes, as well as futuristic aircrafts that are more advanced than anything available in the modern day.
X-Plane
- "X-Plane" is available to play on Windows, Mac and Linux systems. The game simulates a realistic flying experience. Players may fly one of 29 different airplanes that come with the game or they may download. "X-Plane" also allows players to create their own virtual airplane to fly. En route, players must deal with any number of things that could happen during an actual flight, including changes in weather and problems with the airplane's instruments.
