Nemo Games to Play

Disney/Pixar's award-winning "Finding Nemo" chronicled the adventures of abducted clownfish Nemo, as well as his overprotective father Marlin and the forgetful tang Dory. Marlin and Dory face obstacles as they swim toward Sydney to find Nemo, as Nemo does during his dentist-office imprisonment. Players face their own obstacles in "Finding Nemo" games, which put them in underwater challenges capturing the spirit of the 2003 film.
  1. Board and Card Games

    • In Hasbro's "Finding Nemo," recommended for ages 5 and up, players place path tiles on the board to connect sewer pipes and open pathways, as well as block other players from advancing toward the ocean. The first player landing her Nemo pawn on the ocean's "Home" space wins. Play an underwater version of Old Maid in Briarpatch's "Finding Nemo: Anchor's Away Card Game," recommended for ages 6 and up. Pass the shark to opponents and match cards to win. Other 6-and-up Briarpatch "Nemo" card games include "Dory Doubts It," in which Dory challenges players to remember cards, and "Crush's Crazy Eights," in which players play all cards in their hand first to win. Preschool-age "Nemo"-themed card games in the Briarpatch catalog include "A-B-C Alphabet" and "Go Fish."

    Computer Games

    • Embark on an underwater scavenger hunt to find missing sea creatures in Disney Interactive's "Finding Nemo: Learning with Nemo," available for PC and Mac systems. Mini-games include "All Aboard," "Knock 'Em Down Nemo," "Pearl's Garden Eel Bingo" and "Turtle Hopping at the East Australian Current (EAC)." Players take pictures of creatures and practice skills such as counting, basic math, letter identification and pattern recognition. Help Marlin construct a "Super Swim Challenge" for Nemo in THQ Inc's "Finding Nemo: Nemo's Underwater World of Fun." Marlin's challenges for Nemo include the following: helping Bruce the Shark stay on his kelp-balls diet; making music with the Tank Gang; playing hide-and-seek, matching and memory games; and reaching Sydney via the EAC.

    Online Games

    • Help Crush the turtle get Marlin and Dory through the EAC in "Crusin' with Crush," accessible at Disney UK and other sites. Press the arrow keys to stay in the current. Collect baby turtles and avoid jellyfish. Match Dory's friends before time runs out in "Dory's Memory Game." Click on bubbles to find matches. Fish form shapes that match ocean items in "Fish Charades." After seeing the shape, use the mouse to move around the ocean and click the item that matches the fish's charades shape.

    Video Games

    • Collect shells and starfish in timed levels in THQ Inc.'s "Finding Nemo," available for most major video game platforms. Players move Nemo, Marlin and Dory though the ocean and avoid enemies such as eels, hermit crabs, jellyfish, puffer fish, sea slugs and snapping clams. Reach level goals to advance throughout the game. Other "Finding Nemo" video games include THQ's "The Continuing Adventures" and "Escape to the Big Blue," available for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS platforms, respectively. In "The Continuing Adventures," the "Tank Gang" sea creatures who befriended Nemo at the dentist's office have escaped back to the ocean. In "Escape to the Big Blue," players help Nemo rescue his friends confined to fish bowls.
