Learning Games for Short Vowels

In the English language we have both long vowels and short vowels. When there is one vowel in a short word or syllable, the vowel length is usually short. These short vowels usually appear in the beginning of words or between two consonants. When teaching someone how to read in English, it is important that they understand the difference between the vowels. There are several online games that you can play with your student so that they fully comprehend the short vowel sound.
