Photo Booth Games

The first photo booth appeared in 1925 on New York City's Broadway Street, a creation of the inventor Anatol Josepho. Since that point, it has become a favorite activity at fairs and carnivals, malls and with the invention of the webcam, on the family computer. But photo booths don't just record friendly memories; use them to play fun games as well.
  1. Funny Face Tag

    • Play a tag-style photo booth game with your friends. To do so, create a list of four characters, such as Donald Duck, Lady Gaga, Marie Antoinette and Miley Cyrus. Then take pictures at a local photo booth or use a webcam and post them on your favorite social networking website. Tag three of your friends in the photographs, and write a list of the characters they need to act out. When choosing characters for your friends to act out, ensure they are recognizable.

    Photo Booth Charades

    • Charades is no longer just for old people at boring parties. Use a photo booth and a social networking website to play charades with your friends. To play, choose a word or phrase you can separate into four parts -- syllables or words. In each of the four photo booth pictures, act out each syllable or word. For example, for the phrase "add insult to injury," take your pictures in the following order: make a plus sign with your fingers, point at the camera as if you were yelling at it, hold up two fingers and finally, show a band aid on your arm while making a pouting face.

    Create a Story

    • Use photo booths to create a story. In each photo booth picture, hold up a sign with one to four words, so that by combining each of the pictures, you create a complete sentence. Tag a friend in the photo, who then has to create another sentence, and so forth. Do this until you create a whole paragraph or short story. Occasionally, someone will not play along. That's fine; give each player a week to respond, then tag a different friend.

    Photo Chain Letter

    • If you have an on-site photo booth, start an ongoing game at your local mall or in your town. To do this, take a strip of photo booth pictures. Take them out of the machine and write the following on the back: "This is a photo booth chain letter. If you take these photos, replace them with your own photos within five minutes or you'll have bad luck for the next week. If you replace them, you'll have good luck." Do this every day for a week and see if people catch on to the photo chain letter.
