• In the dress-up Internet game genre, players choose clothing and accessories for a cartoon model. In "White Kitty Dress-Up," players select from a collection of outfits, alongside hats and scarves, to dress a kitten, using the mouse to drag items across to the model. "Kitten Maker" puts another spin on the genre, tasking players with creating a whole kitten using their imaginations and a number of in-game options, which range from deciding the thickness and shape of the kitten's tail to the color and patterns of its fur.

Board Games

• These games are typically for multiple players. In "Feed the Kitty," up to six players guide their mice pieces around a board, while trying to be the last to catch the attention of a sleeping cat. Each player rolls a special game die on his turn; a roll of a cat indicates that the mouse lives another day, while a bowl eliminates that mouse from play. The "Hello Kitty Shopping Spree Game" is based on the popular "Hello Kitty" franchise, and is centered on a trip to the mall. Players each control a "Hello Kitty" character, with the aim being to move around the board and collect a set list of items from the stores, such as a handbag and a birthday gift, before their opponents do.

Virtual Pet Games

• These games replicate the thrill of owning a pet in an online format. "Curious Kitten" allows the player to interact with a feline friend who reacts whenever the player points and clicks with the mouse. The player can click behind the kitten's ears, for example, to tickle it there. "Net Pet" is set in a house, with the player playing, nurturing and feeding a pet kitten. The player chooses options, such as selecting toys, from a drop-down menu on screen to entertain or even scold the kitten.

Adventure Games

• These online games are simplistic and entertaining. In "Flying Kitty," the player controls a kitten blessed with the ability to soar upwards through the sky. The player must collect a number of gold coins to complete the level, while avoiding clouds which can electrocute the kitten and roaming enemies which patrol the sky. "Naughty Kitty" is a game of patience. Players take on the mantle of a cat that wants to play with its ball of string, but must wait until its owner is distracted; if the player times it wrong and the owner notices, it's game over.
