Monster Beanbag Toss
Draw a picture of a monster with hair bows and painted nails on a large poster board. Tape the poster board to a box and cut out the monster's mouth. Tilt the box up against a wall. Purchase purple and pink beanbags and, if you wish, paint them with monster faces. Mark a starting line about 10 feet from the box (adjust according to the ages of the children). Give each girl five beanbags to try tossing into the monster's mouth.
Scared Stiff
Play the song "Monster Mash" and have all the girls dance around the room. However, everybody has to dance with a stiff body by not moving her head, neck or legs. Any girl caught with a bend in her body is out of the game. Keep playing until only one girl remains, who is the winner of the game.
Girl Mummies
Divide the girls into groups of three or four and have each team select a "mummy." Give each group three rolls of toilet paper and a large pink bow. When you say, "Race," the teammates must start wrapping the team "mummy" with toilet paper. The girls must use up all rolls of toilet paper. The first team to use all their toilet paper and place the pink bow on top of the "mummy's" head wins the game.
Make a Monster
Have the girls split into groups of four or five players and go into separate rooms. Fill large paper sacks with items, such as wigs, hats, makeup, monster masks, hair bows, small chains and clothing. Give each team a sack of items and tell them they have to make their own monster. Every team must designate one girl to be the "model monster." After 20 minutes, have the "model monsters" come out and show off their creations. Award prizes for the best, funniest, silliest and scariest monsters.
