Games for Multiple Couples

If you have a group of couples heading to your house for a large party or even a relatively small get-together, you want to keep them entertained throughout the night. Play games that require the couples to work together and compete against other couples.
  1. Famous Pairs

    • Decide on several famous pairs, such as Sonny and Cher or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Write down the names of each pair on separate slips of paper, so that the famous pairs are separated. Tape a paper to each of the players' foreheads, making sure the players do not see their own cards. Tell everyone to mingle and ask each other yes-or-no questions to determine what's written on their cards. Once a person figures out his card, he can pick out his famous partner from the group. The game ends when everyone has matched themselves up.

    Mating Game

    • Tell the couples to each come up with a distinct noise they will use later. Pick one odd player to become the carnivore. The couples play the herbivores. Blindfold all the players and separate the couples so they stand at opposite ends of the room. Position the carnivore in the middle of the room and give him a bell. Every time he moves, he has to ring the bell. He tries to tag as many sole herbivores before they find their mates. The herbivores can only sound their calls (the noises they developed earlier) when stationary. The first pair to find each other without getting tagged by the carnivore wins the game.

    Drawing Together

    • Sit each of the couples down with the partners facing each other. Give one partner of each couple a paper with the same drawing printed on it. This could be anything from a sketch of a dog to a sketch of a house. Only one partner, Partner A, can see the drawing. Partner A has to give Partner B instructions to mimic the drawing using a pencil and paper. After about five minutes, see which couple came up with the best replication.

    Feed Me

    • Sit all of the couples down at a table and give one of the partners of each pair a plate of messy food. Good choices include spaghetti and sloppy joes. Blindfold the partners with the food. When you say "Go," the blindfolded partners have to feed their partners as best they can without making too much of a mess. Once everyone has finished their plates, tell them all to take off their blindfolds. The couple with the cleanest face wins the game.
