Building and designing dollhouses is a popular hobby among young children that in many cases develops into a love of architecture and interior design among adults. If you have ever wanted to create and design the interior for your dream home why not try out building a virtual dollhouse. It's fun for adults and a great activity that parents and children can do together.

  A valid e-mail is all you need to get started on your dollhouse
  
  Point your Internet browser to the Digital Dollhouse web site and sign up for an account. Fill out the sign-up form on the home page to start your account and make yourself eligible to build your virtual dollhouse. The form takes only a minute and asks you to create a user name, password and to enter a valid e-mail address.

  Although there are many themes, Victorian seems to be the most popular on this site.
  
  Pick your doll house style from the various themes available. Popular styles include the Victorian, Beach and Campion Platt themes. Please note that the style of home you pick will greatly affect the items, furniture and accessories that will be available to you for designing your dollhouse.

  When you begin you will be located in your houses bedroom but you can easily switch to other rooms in the house.
  
  Start creating your house by selecting a room to design first. When you enter the creation mode of the web site you will be in the bedroom of the home. There will be a menu, shaped like a house on the right hand side of the screen with small symbols that represent each room. Click on the room that you would like to begin decorating and wait for the template to load.

  Be mindful of how many coins you have so that you can purchase everything you need before you run out of money.
  
  Pick out your furniture and interior accessories. There is a full length menu on the left hand side of the screen that gives you buttons and icons for each type of item you can put in your room. You are given a free item or two for each room but you are required to purchase any additional items. You start your account with 250 coins and they give you the option to purchase more.When you click on each category to select your items you will be asked if you are sure you want to purchase the item for your collection and clicking yes will purchase the item and deduct a certain amount of coins from your bank. Navigating this process is not difficult because everything is easy to find and browse through.

  Drag your items to their new location in the room to customize to your personal tastes.
  
  Place your furniture in the room to suit your tastes. Once you pick out all of the items for your dollhouse, click the red X in the corner of the menu box to go back to your room's template. Your selected items should be in the center of the room.The furniture works on a drag and drop system so click each item individually and move it to it's location. If the item needs to be rotated click the item once and use the rounded arrow that appears underneath it to turn as necessary. This process works exactly the same for every room, so work your way through room by room until your dream dollhouse is complete.
