Things You'll Need
Instructions
Create categories. Some trivia games are specific to one category, but people generally prefer to be quizzed on a variety of subjects. Use different colored note cards to signify different categories. Category topics can include pop culture, history, sports and music. Categories can also be arranged by difficulty.
Decide on a question format. You can create multiple choice questions or questions that have no choices. You can also use a combination of those formats in your game.
Conduct research. Use encyclopedias, newspapers and online journals to help you create questions.
Write the questions on your note cards. On one side write question and on the other side write the answer. When writing the question, try to be concise so that contestants can easily understand the question.
Divide contestants into teams. The team that correctly answers the most trivia questions wins the game.
