How to Make Your Own Nutcracker Game

The Christmas Nutcracker is widely known and recognized through the classic Christmas ballet entitled The Nutcracker. In the story, Clara a young girl given a Nutcracker doll by her eccentric uncle, is led into a mystical story land by the Nutcracker, which turns into a boy. In this world she is the guest of the Sugar Plum Fairy, who summons her subjects such as coffee, chocolate and flowers to entertain Clara and the Nutcracker with dance. This tale is appropriate for adults and children and can be further enjoyed as a child's game in the Christmas season.

Instructions

  Hide the Nutcracker doll in a discreet location. You will not want party guests to stumble upon it inadvertently.

  Create a trail that leads to the Nutcracker doll. Write down the trail on a piece of paper, making note of hiding places along the way.

  Place a Nutcracker-inspired goody at each selected hiding spot. Items could include walnuts, candies, chocolate and lollipops.

  Compose a clue to be laid with each prize that leads people to the next one. For example, if the first clue and prize are hidden under the stairs, write on the clue, "This is where you go when you want to change levels." At the spot under the stairs, the clue leads to the next spot. The final clue leads to the Nutcracker doll.

  Give each team or player the first clue and send them off on the Nutcracker scavenger hunt. The first group or player to reach the Nutcracker receives the grand prize.
