Human Foosball
This particular game can be played either outside or in a gymnasium. You will need masking tape to mark the floor and four cones or chairs. Use two of the cones or chairs to make the goal at one end of the playing field. Use the other two cones or chairs to make the goal area at the other end of the playing field. Use the tape to make straight lines horizontally across the playing area. You will need four lines evenly spaced between the two goals.
Divide the group into two teams. If the group is comprised of adults and children, evenly match the teams. Team A will have team members standing on the first and the third line going across the field. Team B will have team members on the other two lines, and each team should have a goal-tender.
The object of the game is to kick the ball through the other team's goal. The trick is that none of the players can leave the line they are on. Every player has to wait for the ball to come to him, then has to try to kick it past the other team's line of players into the goal. To visualize how the game works, simply look at a foosball table. The players are all stationary on a horizontal line.
Egg Head
It is best to play this game outside due to the mess that will be created. Before the start of the event, use rope, ribbon or caution tape to mark off a large area for the game. To play the game, you will need raw eggs, large socks, a swimming noodle and a blindfold.
Choose one person to be blindfolded. That person will start by standing in the middle of the game area with the blindfold on and holding the swimming noodle. The rest of the players will be standing in the game area. Each player will curl up a sock on the top of her head and set the raw egg in the center of the sock. The idea is that the sock will help balance the egg on the player's head. Once all the players have the eggs balanced on their heads, the game can begin.
At the start, the players with the eggs on their heads have to move around while clucking like a chicken. Their goal is to avoid the blindfolded player and keep the egg balanced on their head. The player with the blindfold should move around the game area and swing the swimming noodle trying to knock the eggs off the players' heads. As players lose their eggs, they should leave the game area. If the egg falls but does not break, the player can put it back on his head and resume clucking. The last player who still has the egg balanced on her head wins the game.
The Spider Web
This game is great for young people and smaller groups of people who know each other. This can also be a great game to play as an ice breaker at a church event. It can be played either indoors or outdoors, depending on the amount of available space. To play the game, you will need a large ball of yarn and a light-weight kick ball.
The players will stand in a circle facing in. The first person will hold the ball of yarn and briefly describe another person standing somewhere in the circle without saying the person's name. When she is done with her description, she will hold onto the end of the yarn and toss the ball to the person she was talking about. Each person will take a turn doing this. Each player should only be described once, and each time the ball is tossed, the person tossing the ball will hold onto the string.
As the game progresses, the yarn will form a large web going across the middle of the circle. When everyone has had a turn, toss the light-weight kickball onto the web of yarn. The group will then move the yarn up and down, making the ball bounce. The goal is to create a web that is tight enough that the ball won't fall through the yarn onto the floor.
