Instructions for Corn Hole Bags

Cut out eight squares of cotton duck canvas. The squares should each measure 6 1/2 inches per side. You may use canvas of any color, as long as it is bright and easy to spot.

Place two squares together with their edges even. Pin around all four sides to hold the edges in place. Sew around three sides using a 1/4 inch seam. Continue stitching the fourth side, stopping when you are two inches from the end of the edge. Sew again along the same seam, sewing just a thread inside the original stitching line. This will create the double seam that the ACA requires in the bags.

Turn the bag right side out by pushing the canvas through the 2 inch opening in the fourth side. Use a chopstick to help push the bag through the hole. Push into the corners with a chopstick when the bag is right side out, to make them sharp and to prevent them from bunching up.

Place the funnel into the bag opening and pour in two cups of dried feed corn. Place the filled bag onto a food scale and weigh it. The finished bag must be between 14 and 16 ounces. If the bag does not weigh this, add or subtract corn until the bag weighs the correct amount.

Pin the opening in the bag closed and stitch along the folded edge twice to sew the bag shut. Create three more bags in the same manner, to complete your set of four corn hole bags.
