Operation
Operation is a classic electronic board game. The board is the body of a patient with holes at strategic locations where bones and vital organs hide. Around the edge of the holes is metal with a very mild electric current. The goal of the game is to remove as many organs and bones as possible without touching the edge of the holes with the metal tweezers. If the player fails, the game releases a loud buzz and the patient's nose, a red light-bulb, flashes.
Besides the classic Operation board game, there is also an Operation computer game, rated E for Everyone, and Operation super hero games where the child operates on both the Hulk and Spiderman.
Let's Operate
Let's Operate is a Flash game that kids can ply online for free. In a series of stages, the player has a patient who requires some sort of crazy and outlandish operation. For example, a patient may require that the player remove a paint brush from inside his body. In order to successfully complete the operation, the player performs an incision in the shape of the object on the patient's body using a scalpel. There is a small amount of cartoon blood in the game, and the patient will scream each time the player makes a mistake, but there are no graphic images of internal organs or gut-wrenching injuries as there are in many surgery games.
Dental Adventure
In Dental Adventure, the player is a jet-setting dentist, Glenn Martin, who must travel around the country performing dental procedures. It all starts in Hollywood where he must operate on the teeth of his own wife. Procedures start out with simple cleaning and proceed to repairs of cracked teeth and root canals. Each procedure is a different mini-game, and particularly bad work can lead to even more problems for his patients later, besides the low scores.
