Creative Scavenger Hunts
Nearly every pre-teen and teenage girl loves being in the mall. Setting up a scavenger hunt in the mall is a creative way to make a childhood game more appealing to older girls. Make a list with clues and have one or more teams of girls search through the mall for items. If you want to have them purchase inexpensive items from stores, this can also make the scavenger hunt fun.
Checklist Competitions
Checklist competitions are an entertaining way for older girls to get to know friends better or just have fun together. First, divide the group into two or more teams. Each group then gets a checklist that they must prove that they have completed. Incorporating technology into the game will make this particularly appealing to older girls. For example, a requirement could be that you must have a digital picture to prove you have completed each task.
Murder Mystery Games
If you have a group of several actresses, you might consider hosting a murder mystery game. These games don't necessarily have to be gory in nature. Instead, hosting a "Clue"-themed party lets older girls act out a board game. Give each girl her normal playing card, but let them dress up as the characters they would normally pick as playing pieces. You might also decorate rooms to look like the rooms on the "Clue" board.
Volleyball
Volleyball is a game that many girls enjoy regardless of their experience. Finding a sand volleyball court and playing with a beach volleyball can make the experience even more fun for a group of girls who have never played before.
