Christian Easter Games For Kids

Easter is a time of celebration, giving thanks for Jesus' resurrection and an opportunity to teach children about the eternal hope Christianity preaches. Whether you are looking to educate or entertain young ones and teens at Sunday School, in church or in the home, various options are available to assist your lessons. From crafts and activities to stories and games, you can make learning fun and easy.
  1. Children's Christian Easter Scrambler Puzzles

    • The website apples4theteacher.com has many online games to pick from when looking for a little entertainment and downtime. The Children's Christian Easter Scrambler Puzzles are interactive, fix-it games that kids get to unscramble. Players use their computer mouse to click on various puzzle pieces. The goal of the game is to move pieces back into their original position and then watch as a religious event or theme is portrayed. Four different pictures are available for play and a four-minute clock ticks away while players try to get results before time runs out.

    The Easter Egg Game

    • Christiancrafters.com is a website that offers a variety of Easter activities, crafts and games for kids and teen youth. The Easter Egg Game is a twist on the traditional game of "Hot Potato." Necessary materials are one large plastic egg (about the size of a child's small inflatable ball), childrens' praise music and music player and small plastic eggs that you can fill with little prizes or candy. You need enough of these for all players. To begin play, have all kids stand in a circle and then turn on the praise music. Kids pass the large egg around and when the music stops (someone needs to be standing by to do this) the person holding the egg yells, "He is risen!" All the other children respond, "He is risen indeed!" and the child with the egg receives one of the prize eggs and steps out of the game. Play ends when all players have won a prize egg.

    Easter Egg Race

    • Easter Egg Race is a fun, physically active game that's good for groups of kids. Prior to play, color an even number of eggs, one half one color and the other half a different color and let them dry overnight. To begin play, place all the eggs of a single color on the floor in a line, separated by one foot increments. Put a basket at the end of the line and then form a second line about a half foot from the first. Next, choose two people to be the "leaders" and then let them select their teammates. After the teams have been decided have the leaders stand by a row and supply them with a large spoon for play. A referee shouts "Go!" and each leader spoons up an egg and carries it to their basket. He then passes the spoon down the line and all players take turns delivering the eggs to their bucket. The first team to get all their eggs "home" wins.
