Is playing the game Monopoly a discrete or continuous variable?

Playing Monopoly involves discrete variables. Here's why:

* Discrete Variables: Can only take on specific, separate values. Think of things you can count.

* Example: The number of properties you own, the amount of money you have, the number of times you go to jail.

* Continuous Variables: Can take on any value within a range. Think of things you can measure.

* Example: The amount of time spent playing a game is continuous (you could play for 2 hours, 2.5 hours, 2.75 hours, etc.).

In Monopoly, you can't have half a property or 1.35 dollars. You can only have whole numbers of these things.
