What was the first game came out?

Pinpointing the absolute first game is tricky because:

* The definition of "game" is broad. Do we consider board games, card games, or only digital ones?

* Early games lacked formal distribution. Many were passed down through generations or were local creations.

However, some strong contenders for the first commercially released video game are:

* Tennis for Two (1958): A simple, physics-based game played on an oscilloscope. It was a technical demonstration, not commercially released.

* Spacewar! (1962): A space combat game played on a DEC PDP-1 computer. It was popular among programmers but not widely distributed.

* Double-Darts (1958): A simple, digital, coin-operated game played on a 5x5 grid of lights. It was created by the same company that later developed the iconic Pac-Man.

* OXO (1952): A tic-tac-toe game played on the EDSAC computer at Cambridge University. It was a research project and not commercially available.

Therefore, "Tennis for Two" is often considered the first video game, but it wasn't commercially released. The first commercially released game is likely either Double-Darts or Spacewar!, depending on your interpretation of "commercial release".
