The "Slacker" series, created by LucasArts, ended with "Slacker" in 1999. While there was a sequel, "Slackerz", released in 2000, it focused on the more comedic aspects of the original and lacked the depth of the first game.
Since then, there hasn't been any official news about a third installment. However, this doesn't rule out the possibility entirely. With the resurgence of classic games and franchises, it's not unthinkable that a "Slacker 3" could be revived, but as of right now, there are no concrete plans.
It's best to stay tuned for any official announcements from LucasArts or Disney, who own the rights to the franchise.
