How to Get Past the Zora King in Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time

Originally released for the Nintendo 64 game system in 1998, "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," contains a number of adventure quests that require you to help out various denizens of Hyrule in order to progress forward. In Zora's Domain, King Zora blocks your way into Jabu-Jabu's belly, a section of the game that you must enter to rescue Princess Ruto. However, there is a way to convince King Zora to step aside.

Instructions

- 1
  Speak to the Zoran character at the edge of the waterfall near King Zora's chamber. He will ask you to collect 20 rupees from the bottom of the water. Accept his challenge.

  Dive under the waterfall and collect all 20 rupees below.
- 3
  Talk to the same Zoran character again to receive the silver scale device. This will let you breathe underwater.
- 4
  Dive back into the waterfall and follow the tunnel below.
- 5
  Pick up the bottle inside the tunnel, then continue forward to King Zora. Talk with him to show him the letter inside your bottle. He will now step out of your way.
