How to Pass Pak E. Derm on Yoshi's Story

"Yoshi's Story" is a side-scrolling platformer video game for the Nintendo 64 console. Released in March 1998, "Yoshi's Story" features the dinosaur character, Yoshi, from earlier Nintendo incarnations like "Super Mario World" and "Super Mario Kart." To progress through the game's 24 courses, you'll need to know how to pass Pak E. Derm, an elephant-like creature, in Stage 1-1. You can't defeat him, so you'll need to run past him when he's down.

     Press "A Button" and "Control Stick Down" when you are in front of a Pak E. Derm to ground pound him. He will fall over.

     Press "Control Stick Left" hard to run back to where the two paths meet.

   • 3

     Press "Control Stick Right" hard to run down the path you didn't take before and pass the Pak E. Derm.
