How to Get Into Hyrule Castle in Zelda: Ocarina of Time

"The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time" was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. At the beginning of the game, Link must meet with Princess Zelda, who resides within Hyrule Castle. However, Hyrule Castle is heavily guarded and will not let anyone in. Link must find a way to sneak into Hyrule Castle to meet with Princess Zelda. Hyrule Castle is located from the north exit of Hyrule Market. When you first walk down the road to Hyrule Castle, Link meets a young girl who helps him enter it.

Instructions

    • 1

Speak to Malon, who is standing on the right side of the dirt road next to a vine. Malon gives you the "Weird Egg," and asks you to find her father, Talon, who has yet to come back from a delivery at the castle.

    • 2

Climb the vine next to Malon to reach the top of the cliff.

    • 3

Wait a few minutes until a day has passed in-game. The "Weird Egg" turns into a "Chicken."

    • 4

Jump off the north end of the cliff over the guard wall.

    • 5

Turn left and run across the grassy field, avoiding the dirt road, until you reach a cliff with a rocky exterior. Soldiers patrol the dirt road, but do not patrol the field.

    • 6

Climb the rocky exterior until you reach the top of the cliff.

    • 7

Jump off the north end of the cliff, over the front gate of the castle.

    • 8

Jump into the moat and swim from the left side to the right side, where there will be a small area for Link to stand and climb out.

    • 9

Walk north until you find Talon sleeping in an area with two crates.

    • 10

Stand next to Talon and use the "Chicken" item. Talon wakes up and runs out of the castle.

    • 11

Push the two crates into the spot where Malon was sleeping.

    • 12

Climb on top of the crates and jump from the crates to the hole in the castle wall.

    • 13

Press "A" next to the hole in the wall to enter Hyrule Castle.
