How to Do Unlimited Ring Cheats on Sonic & Knuckles

Connect the cartridges for "Sonic and Knuckles" the "Sonic The Hedgehog 3." Place the connected cartridges into the Sega Genesis and turn on the power of your console. Start the game with any character to begin at the Angel Island Zone.

Advance past the first part of the stage and jump onto any of the three swinging vines. While swinging, press left three times, right three times and up three times on the directional pad. Upon hearing a chime, Press "Start" and then "A" to restart the game.

Scroll down the main menu, and select "Level Select (Sound Test)," once the game restarts. Highlight "Mushroom Hill Zone Act 1" with the directional pad and press "Start" to begin the stage.

Run past the beginning of the stage until you approach a pulley machine with two levers attached to it. Jump on one of the levers and press left, right and up three times each again. Press "Start" and then "A" to reset the game once again. While the game is resetting, press and hold "A," "B" and "C."

Access the Level Select page while still holding all three buttons. Select any stage by pressing "Start." Once the stage begins, release the buttons, as the Debug cheat is now activated.

Press "B" to access the Debug mode and transform into an item. Press "C" repeatedly until you transform into a ring. Press "A" multiple times to create additional rings. When you have finished making rings, press "B" again to return to normal.
