How to Get Your Demon to Like You in Shin Megami Tensei

"Shin Megami Tensei" is an role-playing console game by Atlus available for such systems as the Game Boy Advance, PlayStation and Wii in which you, the human hero, and your party of comrades collect demons throughout the game in a variety of ways. During battles, the demons your party has collected may be summoned through the use of a portable computer to aid you in combat using their skills, abilities or spells. Each demon has different strengths and weaknesses,but all must be persuaded to join you in your adventures or help you in some way.

Instructions

  Enter negotiation mode when you encounter a demon by choosing to talk to it. You will be given several response options throughout the course of the conversation. These vary from demon to demon. If you coerce the demon into liking you, she will ask you what you want. You can choose from making them into an ally, receiving money or magnetite (special in-game currency).

  Repeatedly give the demon anything he or she asks for, which may include money, magnetite or special items, until the demon is pleased and agrees to join your party if you asked her to be your ally.

  Memorize or write down the options that pleased a particular type of demon you meet so that if or when you encounter the same type of demon you will know how to please her. Typically, demons of the same type will all react the same.
