How to Beat Megaman in Dr. Wily's Level

"Mega Man" was a two-dimensional side-scrolling arcade game released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987. The player controls the titular character and must shoot and jump his way through the game to reach the evil maniac, Dr. Wily. The boss fight requires you to time your jumping and shooting to blast Dr. Wily out of his robot and defeat him.

Instructions

  Reach the end of the game and enter Dr. Wily's lair through the triple barriers that automatically rise when you approach them.

  Stay on the left-hand side of the screen and wait for Dr. Wily's flying saucer to arrive.

  Jump up and down, firing your gun at the pink circular gun located on the front of the robot that unfolds from the fly saucer. Avoid the white power orbs fired at you by Dr. Wily by leaping and moving to the left and right.

  Hit "Start" on your joypad when the pink weapon explodes and Dr. Wily is revealed sitting inside the robot. Equip "Thunder Beam" in your weapon inventory before returning to the game. Shoot your beam at Dr. Wily while avoiding the large white orb he shoots at you every two seconds.

  Decrease Dr. Wily's health bar to zero and he will fall from the robot, defeated.
