Wonder Boy Cheats for SMS

"Wonder Boy" is a series of action-adventure games that features 2D combat and puzzle-solving. The series debuted in arcades and several titles were ported over to home consoles. Four games in the "Wonder Boy" series were released on the Sega Master System. All four of those games have since been ported over to the Nintendo Virtual Console, making them available to play for owners of Nintendo Wii game console. Those who need assistance in beating the games can use one of several cheat codes.

"Wonder Boy"
- At the level/stage screen, manually choose the level to start from by pressing 1, 2, and then 1 and 2 simultaneously. Press the "Up" or "Down" button to change the level and the "Left" or "Right" button to change the stage number.
"Wonder Boy in Monster Land"
- There is one cheat available for this title: earning extra gold pieces, which you can use to buy protective or health items. After acquiring the sword, plug a second controller into the second-player port and press "Pause" 73 times to earn 45 gold pieces. Repeat the cheat as necessary.
"Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap"
- This game has several cheat codes that can be entered at the "Continue" screen:
