How to Beat the First Level in Aladdin for the Super Nintendo

"Disney's Aladdin" for the Super Nintendo was released in 1993 by Capcom. The game is based on the animated film of the same name. You control Aladdin on his quest through Agrabah to save Princess Jasmine and defeat the power-hungry Jafar. The game, which is a 2-D platformer, mostly follows the events of the film with some minor differences. The first level of the game is relatively easy to get through if you know how to use the ledges and tents to your advantage.

Instructions

- 1
  Walk to the right until you encounter the guard. Jump on his head and use the momentum to jump up onto the tent behind him. Jump from the tent onto the barrels farther to the right. Leap from the barrels to the pole, which you will grab, and swing back and forth. Use the directional pad to make Aladdin swing back and forth faster and higher. Jump from the pole onto the next set of tents.

  Walk across the tents until two clawed pot enemies drop from the windows. Jump on them to kill them. Drop down from the tents and jump on the guard's head. Jump on the nearby jar to break it open, and then collect the bread inside.

  Jump back up on top of the tents and keep walking to the right. At the last tent, you will see another pole to swing on. Jump to it and swing until you reach your peak, then jump from it and push to the left to jump on the ledge above. Jump onto the nearby pot and use the momentum to get to the red jewel. Go back to where the pot used to be and collect the apples.

  Jump back onto the pole and jump to the right this time to collect the green jewels. Walk to the right until you see a man stick his head out of a window. Time your jump, leap onto his head and use the momentum to get up onto the ledge to his right.

  Jump onto the carpet to the right. Slide down the rope and jump off just before the green jewels. Hold the "R" button to glide so you can get all of them. Continue to the right until you get to the set of high ledges. Jump from ledge to ledge until you get to the middle, where the chest is. Open the chest and collect the heart inside of it.

  Keep jumping up the ledges until you get to the top, where you will find an extra life. Watch for the archer below and time your jump so you don't get hit when you leap along the ledges to the right. Get the red jewel on the rightmost ledge, jump and glide down to the right, just past the snakes. Jump on the chest and collect the scarab beetle piece.

  Walk to the right until you get to the archer. Throw apples at him to stun him and then jump on his head to beat him. Jump on the nearby jar and collect the bread that comes from it. Jump on top of the tent and use the pole to swing up onto the nearby ledge. Use the next pole to get onto the next ledge, where you can collect a red jewel.

  Jump down from the ledge and try to grab onto the carpet. Glide down and catch all of the green jewels. Beat the archer below and jump onto the ledge to the right. Keep moving to the right and avoid the two archers below. Jump onto the next archer's head and use the momentum to get to the carpet to the right. Use it to glide to the red jewel and continue to the right to exit the level.
