Batman the Video Game Cheats

The game Batman was released on the NES, Sega Genesis and Game Boy platforms. Although all three games differed in many ways, they were all inspired by the 1989 Tim Burton film of the same title. Batman is on a mission to protect the inhabitants of Gotham City from the Joker. The different settings for the game include the Axis Chemical Factory, the Flugelheim Museum and the Gotham Cathedral.

NES Game Genie Cheats
- To use these cheats, you must combine the game with a Game Genie. At the code entry screen, enter the following codes:
  
  SZUGGTVG - Infinite lives
  AEESKGZA - Start with one life
  IEESKGZA - Start with six lives
  AEESKGZE - Start with nine lives
  GEEPOTPA - Extra energy on heart pick-up
  GZNOUGST - Infinite pellets after pick-up
  GPSPXVZA - Double usual pellets on pick-up
  IASPXVZA - Half usual pellets on pick-up
Sega Genesis Cheats
- To skip a level, press start to pause, then enter A, B, Down, A, B, Down, Left, Up, C.
  
  There are two opportunities to gain extra lives during game play. The first appears on level three. While in the museum, proceed to the far right end to collect the extra life.
  
  The second chance at extra lives appears in level five. After reaching the top of the level, go to the left side of the screen and allow Batman to fall straight down. You will lose a life, but collect three extra lives in the process.
Batman Game Boy Cheats
- The Game Boy version of Batman does not have any cheats. It does, however, have an "Easter egg." To hear a "sound test," load the title screen, then press up/right and then start.
  
  Also, be sure to collect Batarangs, as they allow you to kill enemies quickly and from a safe distance.
  
  In level 4-2, there are power-ups hidden in rocks. Break the rocks to reveal small, helpful hearts.
