How Do You Pick Up Things in Super Mario 3?

"Super Mario Bros. 3" is a platforming game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) that allows gamers to play as Mario from the popular series. Mario must complete a series of levels to rescue the princess from an evil dinosaur named Bowser. You can collect special items to help you complete levels, including a feather that lets Mario fly. There are also items and enemies that you can pick up.

     Jump on the first turtle character with a green or red shell you see by pressing the "A" button.

     Walk up to the shell after you've jumped on the turtle.

     Hold down the "B" button when you reach the shell, and you will pick it up. Carry the shell by continuing to hold down the button.

     Release the button to throw the shell at other enemies or to break bricks.
