50 Extra Lives
At the game select screen, go to the two-player contest and press Down on the d-pad five times to access the music test. Press Down five more times to access cheat mode. Once here, you can press Y, A, Select, A, Down, Left, A, Down to get 50 extra lives.
Add Some Challenge
While in cheat mode, press B, A, Right, Right, A, Left, A, X to enter hard mode, thus increasing the difficulty of the game.
Easy Win in Screech's Sprint
During the race against Screech, you will transform into a bird. Instead of flying to Screech, head straight up to the top of the screen. You will injure yourself and begin to flash. Pass Screech while you are still flashing and he will not follow you, allowing you to win the race with ease.
Extra Ending
If you manage to find all 40 DK coins, you will get to view an alternate ending to the game. To find the coin in Mainbrace Mayhem, walk across the sail at the end of the level to retrieve it. To get the coin in Gangplank Galley, have Dixie climb barrels at the beginning of the level and do a helicopter spin to the left to land on a hook. Jump to a second hook and then to the coin.
