How to Get the Chaos Emerald in Sonic Advance 2

Start playing the first act in the Leaf Forest zone. Jump over the first series of gaps by pressing the "A" button,.then jump to the top of the first loop and continue running up the rail to the second loop. The first special ring is on top of the second loop.

Have Sonic fall off of the edge of the second loop after you get the first ring. Jump onto the blue spring until you get high enough to reach the second ring. Press the "Up" and "R" buttons to grab the ring (See References).

Jump to your right and go through the next loop. Go back up the loop slowly and Sonic will fall underneath it. You will automatically get the third ring.

Run forward and go around the large loop to find the fourth ring. Get the fifth ring by going to bottom of the loop and jumping over to the second body of water to grab the ring off the surface (See References).

Continue moving Sonic forward and run up the ramp to launch Sonic over the next large loop you encounter. Jump over the gap to get to the top of the second loop. You'll find a spring that you can bounce on to grab the sixth ring.

Go to the end of the level and jump on the last grinding rail. Once you get to the ramp at the end, jump over it and fall to the bottom. Move Sonic backward and go through a loop that will take you to a spring. Bounce up to the loop, then jump to the platform where the seventh and final ring is located. Go to the end of the level and you'll be taken to the special stage.

Complete the special stage by getting all of the items while rolling on the platform. Make sure you don't fall or lose all of your rings. If you die you will miss your chance to get the chaos emerald. Once you get all of the items you'll get your first chaos emerald in the game.
