Cheats to Get Celebi on Gold Silver & Crystal

Celebi is the 251st Pokemon in Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal. If you play the game correctly, Celebi should be the last Pokemon you catch to finish off your Pokedex. Celebi is one of the hardest Pokemon to catch in all three games.

The Legit Way
- Celebi can only be caught in Pokemon Crystal after you have caught the other 250 Pokemon. The professor will give you a special ball that you then take to the Ilex shrine. Celebi will then attack you and you can catch him.
With a Gameshark
- If you would like to use a GameShark to get Celebi, you can put in the code to get a GS Ball and then take it to Kurt to check it out. He will then tell you to take it to Ilex shrine where Celebi will attack you!
Trading
- One of the easiest ways to get Celebi is to find a friend that has Celebi already and trade with them. You only need to have Celebi for a moment for it to count in your Pokedex. You can trade it back to your friend after, and you will get credit.
Gameshark
- Your last option is to put in the GameShark code that would make Celebi attack you next time you walk into the grass. This allows you to catch Celebi. However, without a GameShark, this would be impossible.
