Items
Some items in Pokemon FireRed Version are not initially available in the game and must be unlocked by going through certain steps. To get the Soothe Bell, players must bring their Item Finder tool to the Pokemon Tower and hover it over the region Mr. Fuji previously stood in. The National Pokedex is unlocked once players beat the Elite Four squad and locate at least 60 of the game's creatures. Once players find every creature, they get the Pokedex Diploma.
Abilities
To unlock special abilities in FireRed Version, players must follow specific instructions. While in grassy plains areas, players sometimes encounter Pokemon and Pokemon trainers who want to start a battle. Players can eliminate all battles by using their cutting ability to remove the grass and prevent enemies from hiding behind it. Players are able to trade items between Pokemon FireRed and another Game Boy Advance titles, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire versions. To get this ability, players must first locate the Ruby and Sapphire items strewn about FireRed Version and return them to the machine on the first island of the game.
Areas
Players can unveil new areas in Pokemon FireRed Version once they perform certain tasks. To unlock these parts of the game, players first must go to the Pokemon store and grab the clipboard near the counter. With clipboard in hand, players must enter "Link Together With All." Once this is complete, players should restart the Game Boy Advance and access the main menu again. A new option called Mystery Gift appears on the title screen. From here, players can get the Aurora and Mystic Tickets. These tickets allow players to visit the Birth Island and Navel Rock stages in the game.
