How to Get to the Fifth Gym Leader in Pokemon Red Edition

"Pokemon Red," the first Pokemon game released along with "Pokemon Blue," features eight gym leaders that a player must defeat for the chance to become the Pokemon champion. The fifth gym leader, found in Fuchsia City, is Koga, who is a ninja. Like all gym leaders, Koga specializes in one type of Pokemon; his specialty is the Poison-type, Pokemon who specialize in doing damage over time. In addition, Koga's Pokemon are strong against Grass-type. Koga's gym, like all other gyms, features an obstacle that you must navigate through before you can face him in battle.

Instructions

  Travel to Fuchsia City, located south of Celadon City.

  Enter the Fuchsia City gym, located on the southwest corner of town. The building has the words "GYM" written on the front of it.

  Stand in the southeast corner of the room. In Koga's gym, the obstacle is invisible walls with only one correct path through them.

  Walk north, following the path as it leads around the perimeter of the room. Along the way, you may have to battle Pokemon trainers that inhabit the gym. Use Ghost-type Pokemon to easily defeat them.

  Follow the path west once you reach the northern wall, then south once you reach another invisible wall to reach Koga. Speak to Koga to begin battling him.
