How to Get a Volcano Badge in Pokemon Fire Version for Game Boy

"Pokemon FireRed Version" is a Japanese role-playing video game released on the Game Boy Advance by Nintendo in 2004. In this game, your primary objective is to collect eight gym badges, which will grant you access to Indigo Plateau to fight the Elite Four. The seventh badge you can earn is the Volcano Badge, and this is done by defeating Blaine's Pokemon in the Cinnabar Island gym.

Instructions

- 1
  Go to Cinnabar Island. Playing through the game will take you here naturally late in the game. You cannot access this area prior to the game's natural progression. It is the only island in the game.

  Locate the gym, indicated by a sign that states "Cinnabar Island Gym." It is the largest building on the island, so it is easy to find it. Walk up to the door and press "Up." The gym is locked, but this action will start the quest to obtain the master key.

  Walk into the Pokemon mansion, which is located to the right of the gym. Press every switch you find until you receive the master key and a few other items.

  Return to the gym and walk inside. Walk up to Blaine and press "A" to initiate the battle.

  Fight Blaine's Pokemon to receive the Volcano Badge. He will use a Growlithe, Ponyta, Rapidash and Arcanine, all of which are fire-type Pokemon. Use water- or ground-type Pokemon against Blaine's Pokemon since they inflict double damage on fire-type Pokemon.
