How to Make Pikachu Like You in Pokemon Yellow

Pikachu is one of the most recognizable and beloved characters in the Pokémon universe. While Pikachu is the default starter assigned to you in "Pokémon: Yellow," you must still earn his trust and max out his happiness rating if you want him to perform well and evolve. There is a simple trick for forcing Pikachu to like you early in the game.

Instructions

      Start a new game. Immediately go to your room in the game and take the special potion.

      Play until Professor Oak gives you Pikachu.

    • 3

      Use the potion on Pikachu five times. At first, this will have no effect.

    • 4

      Fight your rival, Gary, and his powerful Eevee Pokémon. If you defeat him after using the potions on Pikachu, Pikachu will be maxed out on happiness after the battle.
