How to Beat the Sevii Island Quest

There are many areas to explore in "Pokemon: FireRed" and "Pokemon: LeafGreen," including the Sevii Island archipelago. Most of your time on these islands will be dedicated to a lengthy quest in which you must find two gemstones to power a supercomputer. Along the way, you'll hop from island to island and see much of what this archipelago has to offer. You'll also get a chance to stick it to your rival, Team Rocket.

Instructions

  Beat the main quest line by defeating the Elite 4 and earning the National Dex. Although you can travel to the Sevii Islands before doing these things, you won't be able to complete the quest until you've been proclaimed the regional champion.

  Travel to Cinnebar Island. Go to the Pokemon Center there and speak with Bill. He'll ask if you want to go to the Sevii Islands. Say "Yes." Bill will whisk you to the islands, and then his friend will ask you to collect a sapphire and a ruby. This is the beginning of the Sevii Islands Quest.

  Head north, past the Ember Spa. Eventually you'll reach Mount Ember. Speak with the Team Rocket members there, initiating a fight. After you beat them, head into the cavern. There are two boulder mazes. To complete the first, push the first boulder two spaces right, the next one a single space to the right and the final one a single space up. In the following maze, push the boulder to the right and then south. Continue along the path.

  Take the southern path when you encounter a fork in the road. Continue along the path until you find a ruby lying on the ground. Pick it up and return it to Bill and his friend at the PokeCenter. They'll then ask you to get the sapphire, giving you a Rainbow Pass in the process. This pass will grant you access to the other Sevii Islands.

  Travel to Six Island and go to the Ruin Valley. There, you'll find the Pokemon Maniac Hector and his team of fanatics. Defeat them, then approach the building they were guarding. Use HM Cut on the door to open it. Inside, you'll find a hole. Fall through it. Each subsequent floor also has a hole. First fall through the top hole, then the left hole, then the right hole and then the bottom hole. On the final floor you'll find a sapphire, but before you can take it with you, a scientist rushes in and grabs it for himself.

  Take the boat to Five Island. Head east out of town into the meadows. Travel south through the meadows until you reach a warehouse. If you've gotten both the ruby and sapphire (and lost the sapphire), then you'll have the passwords necessary to get in. Inside, you'll find transportation arrows. Take the left arrow, then the bottom left arrow. Follow the path south until you meet with the scientist. Defeat him to get the sapphire.

  Return to Bill and his friend. Hand over the sapphire to complete the Sevii Island Quest.
