How to Get Shadow Lugia in Pokemon Crystal

Shadow Lugia is the dark, evil version of the original legendary Pokémon Lugia. This version of Lugia is only available in the Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness game for GameCube and cannot be traded to any Pokémon version in "shadow" form.

In the Gale of Darkness game, Shadow Lugia was used in a plan by a corrupt organization called Cipher to try and take over the world. As a Pokémon trainer, you ruin Cipher's plans, which allows you to capture Shadow Lugia. Only after Shadow Lugia has been "purified" can you trade it to Pokémon Crystal version.

Things You'll Need

GameCube
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness game
GameBoy Advanced
Pokémon Crystal version
Master Ball, or many Ultra Balls
GBA connection wire

Instructions

- 1
  Capture Shadow Lugia in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. After you defeat the Cipher organization leaders on Citadark Isle, you will be able to capture Shadow Lugia. Using a master ball is recommended.

  Head to the lab with the Pokémon Purification Chamber room. This is where Shadow Lugia can be purified.

  Access your PC and position your Pokémon around the purification chamber. Make sure all of the chambers are set to maximum tempo.

  Put Shadow Lugia into a chamber. If the chambers are set to max tempo, this will automatically purify Shadow Lugia.
- 5
  Trade the purified Lugia to Pokémon Crystal GBA version. You can use a GBA connection wire to do this.
