Cheats for Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals Expansion Pack

After the success of the original "Zoo Tycoon" game for the PC, its developer, Blue Fang Games, soon released a second installment, "Zoo Tycoon 2" in October 2007. "Zoo Tycoon 2" was further improved with the "Extinct Animals" expansion pack, which opened the availability of extinct animals. Just like many other video games, there are ways to make the gameplay easier. For example, you can unlock new in-game items and have more cash available.
  1. Producing New Bizarre Creatures

    • As it is, the variety of animals in "Zoo Tycoon 2" is already plentiful. And with the "Extinct Animals" expansion pack, you get access to more animals -- such as saber-toothed tigers and dinosaurs. But other than these, there are more animals than can be unlocked through the gameplay, and some of them can be really bizarre. For example, playing the mini-game "Animal Creation" with a score of less than 50 percent, you can unlock the killer penguin, giant monarch butterfly, giant bullfrog, springhare and red squirrel. Another bizarre creature in the game is the frozen caveman. When you buy and install glaciers, one might contain a frozen caveman. After the ice melts, the caveman is reanimated and will act like the other zoo guests. Removing the glacier will make the cave man disappear.

    Unlocking Additional Zoo Items

    • Designing of the zoo and placing structures and items is one of the essential parts of the game. And by unlocking more zoo items, you can have more preferences. To unlock items, some conditions must be met. For example, completing the Zookeeper Training will unlock the flower post. Here are the other zoo items and how they can be unlocked: Flower Arch, by completing Troubled Zoos; Savannah Theme, by completing five game challenges; Gilded Panda Statue, by clearing Conservation Programs; Sundial Statue, by completing Prevent Animal Abuse; Globe Statue, by completing The Globe; and the Rainforest Theme, by clearing five photo challenges.

    Working With More Cash

    • When expanding the zoo with more structures, each newly added item will cost some money. But as much as possible, save money. There are several ways to save cash when playing "Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals." For example, you can use items already existing in the map at the start of the game rather than buying new ones. In cases of trees, benches, flower beds and others, right clicking and dragging them will move them to a new location. Also, it will help to avoid installing water bowls if short on cash. Instead, add natural water, which will not cost any money. And while the zoo is still small, it will help to personally manage the zoo instead of hiring a zookeeper.

    Producing Animals With Unique Color

    • Most animals of the same species in the "Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals" will have the same color of physical features. But if you stock up on more of the same species, some of them will have a different color. For example, if there are already four Bengal tigers, adding a fifth one in the exhibit will produce a white Bengal tiger. This is also true for Belugas in which the fifth one will be color gray. To see variations of different animals, keep on stocking up more animals until you have about five of each.
