DIY Time Lag Switch

A lag switch is a great and Inexpensive way to gain an advantage in console-based online multiplayer games. Although players often frown on the use of lag switches or view them as unfair, their use is in fact widespread. A lag switch is simple to use; quickly flick the switch back and forth, and it temporarily disrupts your connection. Your console continues to process your controller input locally, but the server is unaware of your moves. Your console updates the server with your new position and other information. Other players will see you suddenly appear in a new location, and with whatever weapon upgrades you acquired while disconnected.
