Game Cheats for Alaskan Adventure

Cabela's Alaskan Adventure is a hunting video game that was published by the company Activision and is available for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2. The game allows you to hunt a variety of different animals, including grizzly bears, moose, elk, caribou, deer, ducks and geese. You can fish for arctic char, dolly varden, sockeye salmon, and other species, and also compete in dog races. The goal of Alaskan Adventure is to travel across twelve regions of Alaska and enter--and hopefully win--as many outdoor competitions as possible. There are some cheats that can help.
  1. Finding Ammunition Boxes

    • If you are playing Alaskan Adventure in Adventure mode, there will be opportunities for you to find hidden ammunition boxes in the first region. Finding them will increase your overall ammunition supply, which is extremely beneficial for the game, especially in hunting competitions. One such ammunition box, which contains twelve shotgun shells, is located at the twenty-five yard marker on the target range. Another hidden ammunition box is located to the right of the firing range, on the edge of a well. This box will contain twelve bullet casings. Also, if you go into the lodge in the first region, you should be able to get ammunition for free.

    Unlocking Awards

    • There are also achievements or awards that you can win in Alaskan Adventure by completing specific tasks. Knowing what these tasks are and their corresponding awards can help you boost your score in the game. Winning awards can earn you from five to 75 points. The most prestigious awards you can win are the 75-point Gold Badges, which require you to complete the first fishing contest and all three main hunts at the Simulation difficulty level in a particular region. These include the Western Arctic Gold Badge, the Southeastern Gold Badge, the South Central Gold Badge, and the Interior Alaska Gold Badge. There are also Silver Badges worth 50 points that are awarded for completing the same tasks only at the Sportsman difficulty level, and Bronze Badges worth 25 points awarded in the same fashion for when you compete at the Greenhorn difficulty level. You can also earn 25-point Platinum Medals, which require you to win all contests and hunts in a specific region at either the Simulation or Sportsman difficulty level. Other awards include the 25-point Bow Master and Handgun Master Awards, which require you to successfully take down ten different animals in Open Season mode using a bow and arrow or handgun respectively. There are also a plethora of awards worth five and ten points that you can earn by killing specific animals, such as the ten-point Black Bear Award, which simply requires you to take down a black bear at any difficulty level in Adventure mode.
