How to Get Special Types of Hero Chao

Chaos are pets that can be raised in "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle." Each Chao has an alignment based on which characters interact with them the most. A Chao gains the Hero alignment from being raised by Sonic, Tails or Knuckles. Normally, Chaos evolve based on the type of food and animals given to it. Normal Chaos eventually die. Each alignment has a special type of Chao evolution that is immortal. The special Hero Chao is the Angel Chao. A Chao needs to be reincarnated twice before it can become a Hero Chao.

Things You'll Need

Sonic, Tails or Knuckles as the player character
1 Bat, Bear, Boar, Cheetah, Condor, Dragon, Gorilla, Half Fish, Parrot, Peacock, Penguin, Phoenix, Rabbit, Raccoon, Seal, Sea Otter, Sheep, Skeleton Dog, Skunk, Tiger and Unicorn animals
1 Hero Fruit

Instructions

- 1
  Press the "A" button to pick up a Chao egg. Use the control stick to rock it back and forth until it hatches. Normally you can just wait for eggs to hatch, but this increases the maximum happiness for the Chao. This is important for making sure it reincarnates, which is a requirement for getting the Angel Chao.

  Press the "A" button to interact with the Chao to increase its happiness. A higher happiness level increases the chances it reincarnates when it dies. Do not interact with the Chao if it is sleeping, this upsets it.

  Feed it any type of fruit or animal until it evolves. It does not matter what normal evolution type you gain at this stage. Eventually the Chao forms a cocoon to signal it is evolving. Wait until it leaves the cocoon.

  Feed and interact with the Chao until it changes appearance again. This evolution occurs as a gradual process. Eventually it forms another cocoon to signal it has died. The amount of time a Chao lives is random, so when it dies is not predictable. If the Chao was happy enough, it should create an egg for its reincarnation.

  Repeat Steps 1-4 to get the Chao to reincarnate a second time.

  Press the "A" button to pick up the Chao egg for the second reincarnation. Rock it back and forth until it hatches.

  Feed the Chao one Bat, Bear, Boar, Cheetah, Condor, Dragon, Gorilla, Half Fish, Parrot, Peacock, Penguin, Phoenix, Rabbit, Raccoon, Seal, Sea Otter, Sheep, Skeleton Dog, Skunk, Tiger and Unicorn. Do not feed it anything else or give it any Chaos Drive skills.

  Feed the Chao a Hero Fruit to cause it to evolve into an Angel Chao. Hero Fruits can be purchased at the Black Market next to the kindergarten.
