The First Insignia
Look to the top of the dial to find the first correct family insignia. This insignia looks like a letter "Z" that is tilted slightly to the left. This symbol must be illuminated before the middle of the dial will open up.
The Second Insignia
Look at the insignia in the four o' clock position; this is the second family insignia. This insignia is similar to the letter "M," but with more diagonal and angular outer edges, as if it has been flattened down. This insignia must be also be lit up in order to solve the puzzle.
The Third Insignia
The third insignia is in the five o' clock position on the dial. It is directly next to the second insignia. This insignia resembles a letter "U," but the tips of the symbol point diagonally outwards at the top. This is the final insignia that needs to be illuminated to complete the puzzle. The other four insignias on the dial look nothing like the three family insignias, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding the correct ones.
Puzzle Solution
When you walk up to the dial, you are given the clue "3 family insignias of the dead ringers." The gravestones bearing the correct insignias (described above) can be found at the front of the church. The puzzle dial can only be turned clockwise in increments of three or four, and when the pointer settles on one of the possible insignias, it lights up. To solve the puzzle, turn the dial by three increments three times, then by four increments three times, and then by three increments one final time. You'll be rewarded with the Green Catseye.
Alternate Solution
The nature of this puzzle lends itself to several possible solutions. You can also turn the dial by three increments, then four, then two turns of three increments, followed by one turn of four and a final turn of three increments to complete the puzzle and get the Catseye.
