How Do You Obtain Celebi in Pokemon SoulSilver?

Celebi, the Time Travel Pokemon, is a mythical Pokemon that cannot be found or captured in Pokemon Soul Silver. Each year, Nintendo holds at least one Pokemon special event at GameStop stores. Downloading Celebi into Pokemon Soul Silver unlocks a time travel mini-adventure involving Team Rocket. At the time of writing, the most recent Celebi event was held between February 21 and March 6.

Instructions

  Review your save game file. You character must have received the Pokedex, possess less than three Wonder Cards and have one open slot in your adventuring party.

  Visit a GameStop location during the next Nintendo Special Event. When your game powers on, select "Mystery Gift" from the main menu.

  Select "Receive Gift," "Get Via Wireless" and "Yes." The game shows you a brief Celebi animation.

  Visit a Poke Mart and talk with the deliveryman. He hands you your Pokemon special delivery package.

  Examine your adventuring party. Your Celebi is level 50. Save your game. Visit Ilex Forest to trigger the Team Rocket mini-adventure.
