How to Get the Boomerang in The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

"Spirit Tracks" is the sequel to "The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass" for the Nintendo DS. Both games make extensive use of the boomerang, a recurring weapon in the "Zelda" series of games. The boomerang allows Link to grab hard to reach items and attack faraway enemies. In both "Phantom Hourglass" and "Spirit Tracks," the boomerang's path is drawn on-screen with the stylus. Fortunately, it is not difficult to acquire this integral item in "Spirit Tracks."

Instructions

    • 1

Get on your train and set a course for the northeast corner of the map. The boomerang is located in the Snow Temple, but it is not immediately accessible.

    • 2

Continue northeast until you reach Anouki Village station. Speak to the village elder, Honcho. He agrees to help you if you successfully pair up the villagers.

    • 3

Play the villager mini-game. Use the clues to determine which villagers dislike and like each other and pair them accordingly. If you are successful, Honcho allows you to enter Gohma Cave.

    • 4

Enter Gohma Cave located on the upper-left side of the village on your train. Use your cannon to repeatedly shoot the Gohma in the eye. If you defeat it, you arrive at the entrance to the Snow Temple.

    • 5

Play the musical duet with Steem, your train, to unlock the door and gain entrance to the Snow Temple.

    • 6

Travel to the first basement level. Walk until you encounter a room with three Ice Bats. Defeat all three Ice Bats to reveal a treasure chest. Open the treasure chest to receive your boomerang.
