Games: How Do You Get a Wynaut Egg in Pokemon HeartGold?

The only way to obtain the Pokemon Wynaut in "Pokemon HeartGold" is by hatching it from an egg. Pokemon eggs are produced when two compatible Pokemon are left at the Pokemon Daycare. You must have a female Wobbuffet and a compatible mate, or a male Wobbuffet and a female Ditto. However, for the breeding to be successful, the Wobbuffet must be holding a special item called the Lax Incense, which guarantees that the mating will only produce a Wynaut egg, instead of an egg from the other parent's species.

  Catch a Wobbuffet in Dark Cave or Cerulean Cave. Walk around in these areas until you encounter a Wobbuffet, then weaken it with your strongest attacks and throw a PokeBall to capture it. If you do not have a Ditto to use in the breeding, wait until you encounter a female Wobbuffet to capture it.

  Obtain the Lax Incense item, which is found on the ground in Route 38 in the Johto region. Open the item menu and select the Lax Incense to give to your Wobbuffet as a hold item.

  Capture a compatible mate for your Wobbuffet if you do not already have one. The mate must be a male Pokemon in the Indeterminate Egg Group, such as Dusknoir or Gastrodon. When it doubt, catch a male Wobbuffet to use for breeding.

  Travel to the Pokemon Daycare located south of Goldenrod City. Talk to the man or woman to leave your Pokemon at the center to try for a baby.

  Walk 256 steps to get the Pokemon to produce an egg. After walking that many steps, return to the Pokemon Daycare to see if an egg was produced. If there is an egg, choose to keep it and walk another 256 steps to get it to hatch. If no egg was produced, select a new mate for your Wobbuffet and try again.
