Set up a profile when you first start "Brain Age." When the software loads, the date and time appear on-screen. Tap "Yes" if the date and time are correct. If you need to change this information, reset the Nintendo DSi and do so from the Options menu.

    • 2

Tap "Left" or "Right" to tell the software which hand you like to use. The Stroop Test will begin. You see several colored words. Speak the word's color into the microphone to finish the test. If you selected "I Cannot Speak" before the test began, you get the Calculations x 20 test instead. Write the answers to the math problems to do the test.

    • 3

Use the stylus to write your name in the box when the test completes. Enter your birthday and tap the "Select" button. You will receive your brain age after you set up the profile. The brain age is calculated based on your test results.

    • 4

Select "Training" when the main menu appears to play a mini-game. At first, you can access only a few mini-games. When you play one, you put a stamp on the calendar. You can earn one stamp per day. Collect more stamps to earn more mini-games.

    • 5

Play the Time Lapse mini-game by looking at the two clocks on the screen. Write down the time that passed between the two clocks.

    • 6

Play the Reading Aloud mini-game by reading the passage shown to you on the screen. Speak directly into the microphone and read as quickly as you can. Tap the "Next" button to go to the next page. To play Syllable Count, read the sentence, count the syllables in it and then write your answer on the screen.

Solve a series of math equations in the Calculations x 20 and Calculations x 100 games. Write the answer to each equation as quickly as possible. Voice Calculation is a similar game, but you must speak the answer instead of writing it.

    • 8

Count the people who go inside and leave a house in the Head Count game. Write down the number of people who stayed in the house. To play the Low to High game, look at the numbers shown to you. When they disappear, tap the on-screen boxes to order the numbers from lowest to highest.
