How to Get Charizard With Blast Burn in SoulSilver

Blast Burn is a Fire-type special move in "Pokemon SoulSilver" that can only be learned by certain Pokemon, such as Charizard. Blast Burn deals a high amount of fire damage, however after using the special move, Charizard must rest for its next turn. The only way for Charizard to learn Blast Burn is to be taught the move by a Move Tutor, and Charizard is only available after the completion of the game's main storyline.

Instructions

  Talk to Professor Oak in Pallet Town after you have obtained all the Gym Badges and defeated your Rival at Mt. Silver. He will give you one of the three Starter Pokemon from the Kanto Region. Select Charmander so that you can evolve it to Charizard.

  Train your Charmander by using it in Pokemon battles. When it reaches Level 16, select the option to evolve Charmander to Charmeleon. Continue to train Charmeleon until it reaches Level 36 to evolve it into Charizard.

  Increase your Charizard's happiness level. Charizard cannot learn Blast Burn unless it has a high happiness level. Happiness increases when you frequently use a Pokemon in battle, but do not allow it to be knocked out. Giving it special items like a Soothe Ball or a Pokeberry also increases its friendship.

  Fly to Blackthorn City and walk to the west to find the house with the Move Tutor inside. Talk to the Move Tutor and he will teach Charizard Blast Burn if his happiness is high enough.
