How to Open the Door in Pokemon HG SS

"Pokémon Heart Gold" and "Pokémon Soul Silver" are mirror images of the same game. Different creatures pop up in each title, but you will follow the same course of events and visit the same in-game locations. One such place, the Ruins of Alph, features four mysterious locked doors. If you want to pass through these doors to discover their hidden secrets, you will first need to figure out the correct method for opening each one. It is possible to open all four doors in both "Heart Gold" and "Soul Silver."

Instructions

  Visit any Pokémart and purchase an Escape Rope after defeating the Gym Leader in Goldenrod City. You can use this item to open the north door at the Ruins of Alph, but it is not available until after defeating that gym leader.

  Speak with the Sage in Sprout Tower to learn the Flash ability. You can also buy this ability in Goldenrod Mall. Use Flash on the southernmost door of the ruins to open it.

  Participate in the Pokéathlon to unlock the Water Stone prize. If you have a Water Stone in your inventory, move the large boulder in Union Cave to reveal the third door, which will react to the stone and open automatically.

  Beat the game by defeating Team Rocket and the Kimono Girl. You will earn the Rainbow Wing, which you can bring to Bell Tower. Fight and capture Ho-Oh in the tower, then use him to open the fourth door on the west side of Union Cave.
