How to Get a Treecko in Pokemon Platinum

The game "Pokemon Platinum" allows players to migrate Pokemon from other games, such as the Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald versions of the game. Using the migration option, players can have the Pokemon Treecko in their Platinum version as part of their team. Treecko is a Grass type Pokemon, so it is strong against Water and Rock types, but is weak to Fire and Flying types. The only way to get Treecko in the Platinum version is through migration.

  Get the National Dex in Platinum; this requires beating the Elite Four and seeing all 210 Pokemon in the Sinnoh Region.

  Insert your Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald version of the game into the Game Boy Advance slot on your Nintendo DS or DS Lite.

  Turn on the game and select the "Migrate" option from whichever version of the game you have inserted.

  Choose up to six Pokemon you have stored in your PC in the version of the game you are migrating from, including the Treecko you want to migrate. The Pokemon will migrate over to the Pal Park in Platinum.

  Start your Platinum game and go to the Pal Park. Enter a Catching Competition; you will encounter the Pokemon you migrated.

  Catch your Pokemon. If you do not have room in your party for them, they will be sent to your PC.
