How to Make the Pokemon Rayquaza in Pokemon Soulsilver Appear

Rayquaza is a Legendary Pokemon that appears in multiple games in the franchise, including "Pokemon Soulsilver." Like all Legendary Pokemon, encountering Rayquaza requires you to complete a number of different tasks before the Pokemon will appear. To obtain Rayquaza you must have a Jade Orb, which is given to you after you catch Groudon and Kyogre -- however these are both Legendary Pokemon with their own set of requirements to encounter them. Furthermore, Kyogre is only available in "Pokemon HeartGold" and can only be obtained in "Pokemon SoulSilver" via trading.

Instructions

  Complete the game's main story line and finish the National Pokedex by encountering one of each Pokemon in the region. Afterward, travel east from Violet City to talk to Mr. Pokemon. He will give you the Red Orb.

  Travel to the cave in Route 44 to enter the Embedded Tower and encounter Groudon. Weaken Groudon using your strongest attacks and use a Pokeball to capture it when it is almost knocked out.

  Trade with a friend over a Wi-Fi connection to obtain a Kyogre. The Kyogre must have been obtained in "Pokemon HeartGold." If you have your own copy of "Pokemon HeartGold," obtain Kyogre the same way you obtained Groudon and trade between your own games using two Nintendo DS systems.

  Talk to Professor Oak with both Pokemon captured to receive the Jade Orb. Return to the same cave on Route 44 where you found Groudon to encounter Rayquaza.
